Convert MP3 to M4R Ringtone in iTunes (Time-Consuming) 2019

Convert MP3 to M4R Ringtone in iTunes (Time-Consuming) 2019
Your iPhone won’t let you use just any song as a ringtone. You’ve probably heard of the mp3 file type before. That’s what all of the songs on your iPhone are. But have you ever heard of m4r files? They’re a special kind of file that serve as ringtones on an iPhone. So if you’ve got a ton of songs that you want to hear whenever your phone rings, you’ll need to learn how to convert mp3 to m4r, and that’s just what this guide is going to show you.
Convert MP3 to M4R Ringtone in iTunes (Time-Consuming)

One way to convert the file type of your music is straight within iTunes. It’s a bit cumbersome to do, but here are the instructions:

Step 1. Launch iTunes. If the mp3 is not already in your iTunes library, find it on your computer and drag it into iTunes.

Step 2. Within iTunes, right-click on the song you want to use as a ringtone and select Get Info.

Step 3. Click on the Options tab and set the start and end times of the ringtone (40 seconds max).

Step 4. Click Ok to save the settings.

Step 5. From the top menu, select File > Convert > Create AAC Version. (If you can’t see the Convert AAC Version, Please firstly go to “Edit > Preferences > General > Import Settings > AAC Encoder”.)

Step 6. Just right-click on the created AAC file and choose “Show in Windows Explorer” (or “Show in Finder” on Mac)

Step 7. Change the extension from .m4a to .m4r, which is the required extension for iPhone ringtones.

Step 8. Open iTunes again and delete the mp3 and AAC files.

Step 9. Connect your iPhone and click the device tab from iTunes. At the right panel, check “Manually manage videos”.

Step 10. At the left side, click on “Tones” under On My Device. Just drag and drop the created .m4r file into iTunes library. The ringtone will be added to your iPhone.

Note

If you tried to follow the previous steps, you may have noticed how annoying the process is. You’ve got to switch in and out of iTunes, delete some files, and rename others. And you can’t even preview the song when trying to decide start and end times.Sponsor ads:

How to Avoid iPhone Hackers 2019

How to Avoid iPhone Hackers 2019

Hi, I had an enquiry regarding my iPhone. It’s just I wanna ask that can an iPhone be hacked? I was told by my friend this and I’m a little worried if it’s true. Please tell me if it can happen and if yes, how can one protect iPhone from hackers? Would really appreciate your reply.

This is a considerable question and sadly to say that yes, iPhone can be hacked. But you don’t have to worry because this article is going to help you how you can prevent iPhone hackers. Use the following listed tips if you really want to save your device from being hacked.

3. Don't Use Public Chargers

4. Don't Jailbreak iPhone

5. Disable Some Permissions of the Third-party Apps

6. How to Avoid iPhone Being Hacked When iPhone Is Lost

7. Tips for iPhone Having Been Hacked
1. Don't Open Unknown Links & Messages

To protect iPhone from hackers, it is a general rule that one should not open the unknown links and messages. Why? It is because to initiate a hack, the intruder must transmit some malware into the victim’s device and that won’t happen until you click or visit any unknown link or messages. For instance, Apple is known for its security rules. Apple’s App store is absolutely Malware free, so as long as you download and install anything from Apple’s App store, you'll stay safe but as soon as you visit any of the links that are unsafe, be it in an email or message, you’ll be more exposed to the threats of being hacked.

Don’t worry, if you are not that tech savvy, please remember not to click on any unknown links that popped up on your screen either via texts or emails or when you are hovering over the internet. For instance, while in your mail you come across a mail which is from some unknown person or the preview shows up some block shaped icons or any weird characters, just directly hit delete button, never open such mails or messages.
Be Careful On Public Wi-Fi Networks

Public Wi-Fi Networks are sometimes the most loved hangout places for hackers, simply because they can exploit such open networks so easily. Be careful when you connect to any Public Wi-Fi Networks, never try to pay a bill or login to any of your bank account or do any transaction while you are connected to any such networks.

2. Remove Credit Card Information When Not Using It

Make sure to clear up your credit card or debit card information from your device and account when not in use. This is important because, let’s say if somehow your account gets hacked, you’ll still be safe on your financial stuffs as you’ve already cleared it up.

Open App Store, Tap "Apple ID"=> "View Apple ID", and then sign in.

Press "Payment Information" when you are on the Account Settings screen.

You will see your credit cards information there. Select “None” to remove all information.

Tap on "Done" on the right top corner.

3. Don't Use Public Chargers

A group of researchers from Georgia, in 2012, found and proved that public charging ports can be used to download any potential malware or hacking software onto iPhones. Just for the sake of your safety, carry along an extra charge with you. For instance, a portable power bank to stay charged. Or if in case you are in a situation where you have no option but to charge your device from a Public chargers, leave you device locked till the time it’s plugged in. It is because, as long as the iPhone was locked, researchers were not even able to initiate the hack.

4. Don't Jailbreak iPhone

Never Jailbreak your iPhone or else you’ll be more vulnerable to getting your iPhone hacked. Jailbreaking your iPhone just allows you to have a deeper look into your iPhone or lets you install apps from unknown sources, but also bypasses the security rules that were set strictly to keep you safe from the iPhone hackers or any potential threat.

5. Disable Some Permissions of the Third-party Apps

This is a further step to stay safe and protect iPhone from hackers. According to Apple’s Privacy Policy, any app is not allowed to collect any “Personally Identifiable Information” or else it will be removed entirely. So far, it hasn’t happened yet but there is still a possibility. For an instance, while using iOS apps, users are prompted often by the app to provide permissions in order to access device’s things like contacts, microphone or camera, etc. Well, users allow it to use every feature of that app but allowing it may also make it access your very sensitive private information.

Get into “Settings”, hit “Privacy”.

Now, choose the permissions to revoke from the list and toggle the app off.

6. How to Avoid iPhone Being Hacked When iPhone Is Lost
6.1. Don't allow access to Siri when iPhone is locked

Siri, Apple’s personal voice assistant is no doubt a very useful and innovative iOS feature that allows the users to do tasks with just their voice command! Siri could be a blessing for some users, at the same time it could be danger in disguise, as Siri can workaround completely bypassing the lock screen. To put it simply, if someone with wrong intentions find your lost or stolen iPhone, with the help of Siri they can easily access the device bypassing your passcode.Sponsor ads:Schedule Text Messages on iPhoneMust Read:If you lost data after you updated to a new iPhone, you can always use Gihosoft iPhone Data Recovery to get the data back from the old iPhone or backup.
